SNMP subagent for openUTM (BS2000/Reliant UNIX)
Today, SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is the de-facto standard not only for network management, but also
for system and application management.
The SNMP subagent for openUTM
| - |
provides for selected openUTM applications a summary of all related objects, such as
system parameters, physical and logical terminals, TACs, users, etc.
|
| - |
integrates the openUTM transaction monitor into a multi-system control console |
| - |
links openUTM and openUTM applications with an SNMP manager's graphical network map and
displays various conditions color-coded
|
| - |
provides a variety of actions, such as changing application characteristics, locking and unlocking
openUTM data stations, changing system parameters, starting (in UNIX) and ending (in BS2000 and UNIX)
openUTM applications, etc. |
Thanks to the open SNMP protocol, a SNMP master agent and its subagents can theoretically be connected to all management consoles supporting this protocol.
